flannelfy has no accounts, no ads and sets no cookies. Here is everything that is collected, and why.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, our host keeps standard server logs of requests (such as the page asked for, the time, and technical details of the connection) to run and protect the service.
Analytics
We don't run an analytics service right now; if that changes, this page will say so.
last.fm usernames
If you type a last.fm username, it is sent to our server and on to last.fm to fetch that account's public listening history (its top albums). The answer is kept in a short-lived cache for up to 10 minutes, so a repeat visit doesn't ask last.fm again, and is then discarded. We don't keep a list of usernames.
Spotify exports
A Spotify export you choose is read on your device to find album names; the file is not uploaded or kept. The list of album names it produces is held in your browser's session storage so the results page can read it, and is cleared when you close the tab. Matching those albums against the scores happens in your browser too.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no sign-up and no email addresses.
- No advertising and no ad trackers.
- No cookies set by flannelfy.

Album pages link to YouTube (a search for the review), Apple Music and last.fm. Those sites have their own privacy policies once you follow a link. Cover images load from Apple's image servers.
